WHY ACCOUNT CONTROL IS PARAMOUNT
Long Definition
Account Master Management (AMM) is the governed framework for managing all trading partners and counterparties that participate in an international supply chain. It ensures that every organization—supplier, manufacturer, freight forwarder, consolidator, customs broker, or customer—is properly identified, validated, classified, and linked across all operational and compliance systems.A robust AMM foundation centralizes the data required to manage compliance and automation effectively. Each account is associated with:

Screening status:
results from denied-party screening, embargo and sanction checks, UFLPA exposure, and foreign-ownership risk (e.g., Chinese, Russian, Iranian).
Regulatory identifiers: account-level codes required by agencies such as FDA registration numbers, MID (Manufacturer Identification) codes, and other jurisdiction-specific identifiers.

Addresses and hierarchies: structured address management and multi-site relationships (e.g., headquarters, manufacturing sites, distribution centers).

Attributes and metadata: account-specific properties such as contact details, operational category, or risk profile.

Dimensional roles: the account’s function within the supply-chain ecosystem—manufacturer, supplier, importer of record, freight forwarder, consolidator, or customs broker.

AMM creates a single system of record that links these entities across ERP, TMS, and compliance platforms, enabling full visibility, regulatory compliance, and automated workflows. When properly implemented, AMM becomes the control point that ensures every transaction is executed with the right counterparty under the right compliance conditions.
